Heron is an 11-week-old bundle of joy, weighing in at 12 pounds now but destined to grow into a handsome 45-50-pound pup. He’s the definition of happy-go-lucky.  Heron has been around big and little dogs and forms a unique relationship with each of them.  He enjoys playing a game of tug, running around the yard, or just hanging out and watching the big dogs in his foster home run around.

Heron would love to have a doggy sibling in his forever home to keep him company and share in all the fun. He’s still working on potty training, but he’s a smart little guy who’s catching on quickly.

Heron is a lab/pit bull mix, and we’re looking for an adopter who understands the love, loyalty, and joy these breeds bring—and who’s excited to help be an advocate for them.

If you’re looking for a playful, easygoing pup who will bring a whole lot of joy to your days, Heron might just be your guy.

If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
