This cutie is Salty, a 6 week old Pit Bull mix. Salty is a fun boy that likes to bark at himself. He has so much character. He is doing well with housetraining and goes on puppypads. He sleeps well in his crate for a few hours. He is 6 weeks old and will be ready November 15.
Salty and his siblings were born on 9/11 and were all named after dog hero's of 9/11. This is the story of Salty, who was a seeing eye dog. When the North Tower was attacked he and his owner were on the 71st floor. After the plane hit he jumped into action and began to guide him down the 71 floors. As they traveled down the stairs his owner became concerned when he heard debris falling, the building swaying and the walls cracked. Fearing for Salty's safety, he let Salty off lead. Salty refused to leave his owners side and continued to tug at his pants and helped him move down the stairs.

Salty’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes and we will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. In most cases, our adopters will need to live within an hours drive of St. Louis, MO.
