Meet Zella, a confident little fluffball with brains, heart, and just the right amount of sass! At only 15 pounds, this adorable Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix may be small, but she’s got the spirit of a leader and the loyalty of a best friend rolled into one. With her silky black coat and those adorable white-tipped back toes, Zella is as striking as she is smart.

Zella is still a youngster, born in August 2025, and like any bright puppy, she’s still learning the ropes—especially when it comes to house training and basic obedience. She’s a quick study, though, and her foster family says her intelligence shines through in everything she does. With a bit of patience and consistent guidance, she’ll grow into the kind of well-mannered companion every family dreams of.

Playtime is one of Zella’s favorite pastimes—she loves to romp and explore, and she’d be thrilled to have a fenced yard where she can do just that. She’s friendly with people and has done well meeting other dogs, but she’s got a bit of a “queen bee” personality and would prefer to be the only female dog in her home. (She says she likes to keep her crown to herself!)

Zella’s future family can look forward to an intelligent, playful pup who will also be a protective and devoted companion. Whether she’s leading the way on walks, curling up beside you at night, or giving a quick bark to let you know when something’s up, Zella’s love and loyalty will fill your home with warmth and laughter.

Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
