This handsome guy is a major love bug who enjoys snuggling, giving kisses, running laps outdoors (he's very fast), and playing with other dogs and kids! He walks pretty well on a leash and is mostly potty trained, but needs to be taken out regularly. He sleeps in his crate at night, but would prefer to snuggle in bed with his humans. He is a bone and toy lover who consistently takes all of the dog toys out of the basket to play when his humans are gone. He's very smart and does amazing with food puzzles! He is an excellent travel companion who does well in vehicles and just returned home from a road trip to a Colorado farm!
He needs a fenced yard and would do really well in a home with another dog.
Alex and his litter mates had a rough start and weren't given much time and attention as puppies. Because of this, he's timid and afraid of new people and things (except other dogs). It took him a few days to warm up to his foster fam, and they had to carry him to the car. He crawled under the driver's seat so they couldn't see or touch him.
He'll need someone who is patient and willing to give him the time and space to get comfortable. When you meet him for the first time, ihe will be shy. He'll hide and probably bark at you. But once he knows you're kind and will give him love, he'll be your favorite snuggler and new 50 pound BFF.
