Meet Dee Dee, an 8 yr old, 6 lb, female, Chihuahua mix.

Her life was horrible, breeder dog left out in the cold until she came to Needy Paws and is learning to trust people again.

• Potties outside but still has times she will use the potty pad inside.
• Needs a Secure Fenced Yard -  no gaps / holes in fence. She's small and can slip thru.
• Needs a companion dog in the home to use as her mentor so she can continue to learn.

Since she was a breeder dog, she's still learning to trust people. She's skittish when people are around so foster mom leaves a small leash on her so you can catch her. Once you have her in your arms, she melts in your lap. LOVES belly rubs, scratches, just petting her all over. She never had that before and now she can't get enough!

She cannot do steps, so you have to carry her outside if there's steps, however, she's only 6 lb and is very light. 

Foster mom put steps up to sofa and Dee Dee uses those steps to lay in one of the beds on the sofa!

She is super sweet and wants to love humans, but humans are scary so no kids around to scare her.  A quieter home is probably best for her.

Her Perfect Family would be an older family, no kids, a little dog for her to love and follow around, a very secure fenced yard, and a family who will continue to show her how to trust humans.

Dee Dee’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
