FENCED YARD REQUIRED -- (NO ELECTIC FENCES)
Meet Joplin a Terrier/Poodle Mix, we’re really not sure of his breed. He appears to be young, possibly a year or two old and weighs 18 pounds.
Joplin was dumped along with 4 other dogs on a property in central Missouri so we’ll never really know where or with whom his beginning in life started. He was so severely matted that he had to be shaved down, but that scruffy hair is already starting to grow back.
Joplin is a very sweet and happy dog and loves the dogs in his foster home. He can be a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he will be your best friend. He’s also good with cats. Joplin is a rough and tumble kind of guy and loves to play, so he would really need a playmate and a fenced yard to help burn off energy. Then after playtime he’s ready to cuddle next to you on the couch. He will need ongoing training as he gets older. He has not been around kids, but I believe with proper introductions he would probably be fine.
Joplin is doing very well on potty training but hasn’t learned how to signal to go outside. He’s just let out often and the foster watches him for signs and keeps a close eye on him. He sleeps quietly in his crate in the foster's bedroom at night. During the day he is gated in the kitchen with his foster siblings.
If you’re ready to welcome this guy into you home please complete your application soon.
