Costco is a blend of energy and affection!  When he's not trying to curl up on your lap, this 60 pound 2-year-old black lab mix is looking to play -- or for a treat!   He already knows his basic commands -- sit, stay, down -- and is an incredibly quick learner and eager to please. He is house and crate trained, but needs to work a bit on his manners, especially with cats whom he seems to mistake for squirrels who happened to get in the house... (So probably best in a house with no cats.) 

He's also very good on a leash (unless distracted by those pesky squirrels) and easy to walk (not reactive to other dogs). When greeting you when you come home or when he first meets new people, he can get overly excited, but he calms down quickly.  He is also a talented jumper and can easily clear a four-foot fence, so he should have a yard with at least a six-foot fence.  Even though he has basic commands, on going training will be helpful for him to maintain his physical energy needs and mental stimulation.

Costco’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
