Nero is a beautiful Chocolate Lab.
He is about 1 yr. old and weighs in at about 60 lbs.
He loves to play with other dogs but needs to be kept quiet while being treated for heart  worms. So at this time would be best as an only dog.
Nero can be pretty active but also settles down well.
He does need a fenced in yard.  He is house- trained, and crate-trained. It takes a few minutes to settle down in his  crate and does well with a kong filled with treats to keep him preoccupied for a little while.
He is a little shy of getting into a car and treats help with this. Once in he does ride well and  seems to enjoy the passing scenery.
Not sure how he does around young children. He did well with an older child.  Has not been tested around cats.
His absolute favorite thing to do is chase tennis balls. He will jump and catch mid-air, return it  to you for you to throw over and over again (but not until heartworm has cleared)!
He loves his food and will do anything for a treat!
He is a really sweet, smart dog and knows ‘sit’ and a few other simple commands. He walks well on a leash and is quickly learning other manners.

Nero’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
