Brenda is a happy, friendly, very sweet but skittish, 40 lb. PlottHound/Pitbull mix, approximately 1-year- old. She is ready to play at all times and loves to chase rabbits and
squirrels in a field near my house. She is fast as blazes but never seems to catch anything faster than her squeaky toy. She has her shots, is spayed, chipped and is heartworm negative. She is housebroken, is fine in her crate, but does not ride well in a car as she gets car sick quickly. She pulls slightly on a leash but is learning to heal. She is very gentle and would be a great family pet for children. She has good dog manners but thinks cats are a kind of squirrel and will chase them. Close supervision is advised. She is a homebody and has not indicated that she is interested in jumping a 3 ft. fence. Strangely, if you put her on a lead, she will stay right there and not wander off, even if the other end of the lead is not attached to anything. 

If you have an open area, away from cars and other dangers, maybe bordered by overgrowth or even a creek, she is a real joy to watch run, play, and chase nothing and everything in and out of the bushes; and she comes right back, on a fast run, when called, no matter how far away she gets.

Brenda ’s adoption fee is $195.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
