Meet Liz, a  2 year old Terrier/Australian Shepherd mix, weighing about 28 lbs.   Liz is a very sweet dog, enjoys short walks and is easy on the leash. Liz is as close to low maintenance as dogs get. She will make a good companion around the house but will probably never be a dog that cuddles. She happily shows affection but when you are finished, is quite willing to lie down close by and not intrude.

Liz's early life was spent with about 50 other dogs in an isolated area in southern Missouri.  She was not abused or mistreated but she had almost no human contact, was not socialized and as a consequence is very shy.  Her ideal home is a quiet house with no children and a small dog to play with. Liz must have a home with at least one other dog for her to have as a companion. She will also need a fenced in yard. Liz is good with cats and other dogs, as long as they are calm and low energy.  She is also house and crate trained.

If you are interested in meeting Liz, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you.  Adopters will need to live within an hours drive of St. Louis, MO.

Liz’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes.  We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes and we will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
