Meet Sugar Baby, a 1-2 year old Shih Tzu mix weighing abut 20 lbs. Sugar Baby is quiet and shy but is also a very sweet dog that prefers sitting on a lap rather than taking a long walk. She is good with kids, cats and other dogs, as long as they are calm and low energy. She is house and crate trained.
Sugar Baby's early life was spent with about 50 other dogs in an isolated area in southern Missouri. She was not abused or mistreated but she had almost no human contact, was not socialized and as a consequence, is very shy. Since she is so shy, she needs a quiet home where she can enjoy a low energy environment.
Sugar Baby's ideal home is with an older person or couple, a fenced back yard and a place to be alone when strangers are in the house. A high energy family with young children is definitely not conducive to her comfort. Another, small dog to play with occasionally, would be perfect. She needs someone that will give her tender loving care, patience, and time to adjust to her new family.

Sugar Baby’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes and we will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
