THIS GUY IS THE TOTAL PACKAGE! Need a dog that requires minimal training, has a great temperament, loves to snuggle, but can also keep up with an active family? If so, THIS is definitely your guy. 

Meet Excalibur, the gentle giant! He is 14 months old, cattle dog mix, with a tall, long stature. He is crate trained, house trained, rides great in a car, is good with other dogs, is wonderful with children and strangers. He knows basic commands, “sit” and “come” and is working on “stay” for longer periods. He walks well on a leash but could use some work when he is in new places, as he gets excited. He loves to play catch with a tennis ball and chew on giant bones. He is a lover for sure. He will alert when a strange noise sounds, or if there is entry into the house outside of normal hours. He is confident and not skittish. He responds well to correction and catches on very quickly to expectations. His energy level is moderate but can calm down quickly when necessary. He is currently fostered in a home with a 1 year old, 5 year old 16 year old and a foster pug as well. He does great with everyone. He is available for adoption after his routine vaccinations on 2/2/17 .

Excalibur ’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes.  We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes and we will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. In most cases, our adopters will need to live within an hours drive of St. Louis, MO.
