This cutie is Sirius, a 6 week old Pit Bull mix.  Sirius loves his cuddles and just wants to be around people. He is still working on house and crate training. 

Sirius and his siblings were born on 9/11 and were all named after dog hero's of 9/11.  Sirius is named for the only police dog officially known to have been killed during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  Sirius was killed instantly during the collapse of the South Tower.  He was locked in his kennel when his handler went to the North Tower to help victims.  His remains recovered the winter of 2002 were ceremoniously removed from Ground Zero with a full honor guard in a manner befitting a hard-working member of the PAPD.

Sirius’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes.  We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes and we will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. In most cases, our adopters will need to live within an hours drive of St. Louis, MO.
