This cutie is Tivka, a 6 week old Pit Bull mix.   Tivka is the sweetest little snuggler. She is a very tiny girl that loves to sleep in your lap. Quite laid back for a puppy. She is working on using puppy pads and sleeping in her crate at night. She is 6 weeks old and will be ready on November 15.

Tivka and her siblings were born on 9/11 and were all named after dog hero's of 9/11. This is the story of Tivka, who was a therapy dog from Eugene, Oregon. Her job was to stand by and comfort anybody who approached. Her presence helped ease the anxieties of the overwhelmed rescue workers. One of the most important tasks for Tivka was to travel the 20 minute ferry ride from the mainland to Ground Zero. After the attacks people regularly made the voyage to say goodbye to their loved ones who died.

Tivka’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay  and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes.  We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes and we will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. In most cases, our adopters will need to live within an hours drive of St. Louis, MO.
