This handsome guy is Owen, a 3 year old Chihuahua/Husky mix.  Though a little shy, he is coming out of his shell and learning how great it is to be a loved member of his foster family.  Owen is a great companion.  He sticks close to his people, just in reach for cuddles and belly rubs. Owen gets along with other dogs and does not mind cats.  He would love a dog-buddy to hang out with, run, and wrestle.  Owen is learning some basic obedience commands like "sit" and that "ah ah" means NO.  He stays in a crate while at home alone and is also well on his way to being house-trained.

Because of his initial shyness and his unknown past, Owen needs a family who will be patient and give him the time to become the awesome dog that he is meant to be.  He would love another dog (or dogs) in the home that he can learn from and play with.  Also, he will do best with older or no children as too much hyper energy tends to scare him.  Ultimately, Owen is looking for a forever home where he can be a loved member of the family.

Owen’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes.  We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes and we will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. In most cases, our adopters will need to live within an hours drive of St. Louis, MO.
