Meet Culver, a 2 year old, 70lb, very special, rambunctious Chocolate Lab mix that loves everything and everyone. Culver is a special needs dog as he is blind, and also has allergies so he requires a special diet. He will need to be on a grain free diet such as Nutra, Natures Recipe or Pure Balance.  Culver is looking for a very special home of his own that will understand his needs and give him the love he deserves. He is fantastic with kids of all ages and loves to play with other dogs and cats! Culver is a typical Lab with lots of energy, but settles down nicely when instructed. Culver is not suitable for apartment living. Culvers blindness is degenerative, he can still see some shadows, but will eventually be completely blind. For that reason we will not consider families who are currently renting as we would like him to get comfortable in his forever home before going blind and we do not want to put him through the stress of moving.He is very smart, and being blind does not slow him down much! After he learns where everything is in his home, he gets around just fine, and can even go down stairs if given a little guidance. He also knows how to sit, come, stay, leave it, wait, and listens very well. He is a very silly boy that does like to be vocal at times. He also enjoys laying on the couch with his person and a good chew toy.

Culver is house trained and doing very well with crate training, and of course he loves riding along to Culver 's Restaurant for a treat!  Culver is a sweet, friendly, well-adjusted pup that will be a great addition to a family that will understand and embrace his specific needs.

Culver 's adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes.  We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes and we will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
