This precious little girl is Layla, a 1 year old Lhasa Apso/ Terrier mix, weighing 25 lbs.   When we got Layla her hair was matted and very long.  While she was being groomed, a huge bite or scraped area was found on her back.  She was taken to our vet who had to perform skin grafts and had to give her numerous stitches.  She is healing now and doing great.

Layla is gentle, playful, a great kisser and total lap dog  She loves her toys and nylabone.  She loves to run around in the yard and will help move the birds and squirrels out.  Layla likes to be with her family and likes to watch you in the kitchen....you never know when something will drop on the floor. Layla gets along with dogs and kids, not sure about cats.  She's house and crate trained and knows a few commands.  She will make a great family dog.

Layla’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes.  We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes and we will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. In most cases, our adopters will need to live within an hours drive of St. Louis, MO.
