Hachi Mitsu is a 6 year old Shiba Inu that came from a puppy mill. Her name translates from Japanese to English as Honey Bee. She is a sweet little Honey Bee for sure!  Hachi weighs about 18 lbs and has a coat as soft as velvet.   She is loving, smart, goes potty outside and enjoys a good meal. Hachi needs a very special person to be her forever caretaker. She has lived outside most of her life, she does not know how to walk on a leash yet but is very eager to please her human and willing to learn new things.  She is looking for a home with someone who has a lot of time to spend with her and is willing to teach her the things she missed out on when she was a puppy mill dog.  Hachi does well in a crate but prefers to be on a dog bed or on your lap.
Hachi has some food guarding and possession guarding issues with other dogs, probably from living in a large pack during her lifetime.  She has a dominant attitude with other dogs, not sure about cats or small children.

Hachi Mitsu ’s adoption fee is $195.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes.  We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes and we will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. In most cases, our adopters will need to live within an hours drive of St. Louis, MO.
