This handsome little guy is Atticus.  He is a 8 year old Beagle/Hound mix who we rescued out of a local animal control facility.  Atticus was part of a hoarding situation where numerous dogs where surrender.  These dogs were under socialized and fearful but Atticus is slowly learning to be a dog again.  The following is from his foster parents.

Atticus is a very sweet boy who craves human contact and love. He would sit next to you all day long if you were willing to love on him. He is slightly head shy, but he's good with a rub anywhere else!  He is a very energetic fella outside. He loves playing chase and tug of war with the other dogs. Atticus would be best in a home with another dog who likes to play. He bonds quickly with his "canine bro's." He would be very sad without a playmate, and needs one who is not overly dominant or rough since he is an older dog (8 years).    Atticus is extremely timid, loud noises and fast movements frighten him very much. He needs to be in a low key environment.

Atticus is an overnight crate sleeper. We do this to avoid any accidents. We also crate him if we are going to be gone for any longer than 2 hours. We leave the crate open during the day because he likes to nap in there.  Atticus is a loving boy who likes lots of attention so he would do best in a household with someone who is home all day. He would be very sad in a crate all day.
