|
This sweet girl with the beautiful face is Athena! She's about 3-4 years old, house trained and gets along very nicely with kids & other dogs, especially the ones in her Foster Home. She hasn't been around cats but she's pretty laid-back so she'll probably like them, too! Athena had a rough start in life. She met her Foster Mom two years ago after she & her brother Tiger, who were kept outside, were abandoned by their owners who moved away & left them behind. Her brother was rescued but Athena remained elusive for a few years, having at least 2 litters of puppies, begging for food from locals and being fed by her Foster Mom. Her Foster Mom recently heard the pretty girl had another litter of puppies, went looking for her and was taken to an abandoned building where she found nine puppies! She rescued 4, came back the next day and got 3 but couldn't get the last two or Athena. A week after that she found the final two pups then went back for Athena, rescuing her a few days later! Despite the life she's had, Athena is a sweetheart who likes to snuggle with her Foster Mom, loves to be petted and enjoys being near her people. She loves going for walks, is perfect on a leash and she also likes going for car rides where she's a good passenger. She's a smart girl and already knows a few commands! Athena is calm, doesn't bark and likes to nap and lounge around the house. She looks forward to being part of a Family and spending a lot of time snuggling!
