This gorgeous guy with the beautiful eyes is Riddick! His owner had surrendered him to Animal Control because one of his kids was allergic to the big boy so we rescued him from Animal Control on his last day! Riddick is almost 2 years old and house trained & crate trained. He likes hanging out in his crate, sleeps in it with his special blanket and sometimes takes a toy in there to chew on privately! :) He gets along very well with kids & dogs and likes to chase cats. Riddick is a very friendly boy who enjoys meeting people & making new friends. He would be happiest with a Family who has kids & other dogs so he can have companions & playmates and one that would take him places and go on fun outings. This sweet guy is full of affection, loves giving kisses and will sit on a lap when invited! He makes his Foster Mom's day when she comes home from work and Riddick is so excited to see her that he starts talking to her & trying to get on her lap. He's a young guy so he still has some playful energy but a little playtime or walk will calm it down quickly. Riddick loves to catch balls in the air and will bring it back & drop it but only if you have another ball to trade him with! He has so much fun playing with the balls that he tries to hoard them! His Foster Mom laughs when she sees him picking up sticks from the yard and trying to bring them in the house or watching him as he tries to figure out how he can get all the balls & toys for himself! He loves rope toys too, but ends up shredding them and trying to eat them. His favorite game is tug-of-war, and regardless if you want to, he'll push the toy in your hand to invite you to play. He's definitely a character and a lot of fun to be around! After playtime, Riddick enjoys relaxing, getting brushed and spending some quality time with rawhides. Riddick is a smart guy who knows how to sit & shake hands and he's learning how to stay. He likes going for walks & short jogs but is easily distracted by squirrels, rabbits & birds but responds well with positive reinforcement & treats. He will pull on the leash in the beginning but once he's reminded not to pull, he walks nicely. Riddick is great at walking next to his Foster Mom and is a very good boy who stays at her side when she stops to cool down. This charming young man loves going for car rides and behaves nicely in the car. He's skittish when he hears a very loud noise but he stays calm & is still his good-natured, friendly self.
