Meet Alex 

Alex is a sweet, spunky senior looking for a soft place to land. He’s about 8–9 years old, weighs 9 lbs, and is neutered and fully vaccinated. Despite some vision and hearing loss, Alex loves to play and enjoys long, leisurely sniff

He is mostly deaf and can only hear some loud or high-pitched noises, so small children are not recommended, as he may have trouble predicting sudden movements. He does best in a calm, low-key home with respectful children who understand giving him space when needed.

Alex is house-trained and knows to go potty outside, and he is continuing to improve. Because of his hearing loss, he may sometimes need a gentle tap to get his attention when it’s time to come inside from the yard.

He does not enjoy being crated, but he is comfortable being confined to a room or behind a baby gate. He gets along well with older, mellow pets, but can be a bit grumpy around high-energy animals or overly hands-on kids.

Overall, Alex is a loving “old man” with lots of personality who would thrive in a quiet, patient home where he can feel safe and cherished.

Alex’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
