Meet Pipkin! Pipkin (also affectionately known as "Mr. Pips") is a Pomeranian who's about 11 years old, 12 lbs, and a total goofball. Don't let his age fool you: Pipkin still has plenty of energy and loves to play and roughhouse with his stuffed toys. He would enjoy being part of a family where he could follow his people around the house all day and spend lots of time outside.

Pipkin will go potty on a leash and harness, so he does not require a fenced yard, although he would definitely enjoy one. Mental exercise is important for Pipkin and he is not your typical "couch potato" small dog. He appears to be friendly to all people (including kids) and gets along with the 25-lb resident dog in his foster home. He would probably be fine with cats, although he might try to play with them at first.

Pipkin does not appear to have had any formal obedience training, but he is treat-motivated and willing to learn! He is doing great with potty training and has only had a couple of accidents in his foster home, where he is taken outside every few hours. He sleeps in a puppy pen with a doggy bed at night and when his foster has to leave him alone and has not had any accidents in his pen. Pipkin likes to bark in the backyard, but mostly for fun, and does not bark excessively in the house. He does have a tendency to jump on people and will try to steer you on his leash, so being consistent about correcting these habits will be important to help him learn.

Pipkin has a beautiful apricot coat. Unfortunately, he needed to be shaved when he first came to rescue because his coat was in poor condition, but with regular grooming it will return to its former glory soon!
