This is Ray. Ray is a manly man. When Ray tells you his name, he doesn't say it. He grunts it.

As a stereotypical middle aged man, Ray obviously loves a well maintained yard. He thinks that only suckers pay someone to change their oil when you can do it yourself for far cheaper. Ray looks good- nay, great, in plaid. And Ray loves the ladies.

This down-home Midwestern guy may seem like he's a big strong man, but secretly he craves a family to cuddle with. He wants to be a pile of mush and sink into his families arms. He especially likes to snuggle under the covers and be the little spoon (do NOT tell anyone about his soft side).

Ray originally showed up as a stray with a broken tail and cropped ears.  Ray is somewhere between 5-7, which means he's worked those puppy shenanigans out of his system.  He loves spending time with female dogs but his ego is a bit too fragile to be around male dogs. He doesn't currently live with kids but has met plenty in public and thinks they're a hoot. He's moderate energy level, 50lbs, crate trained, potty trained, and comes with a can of WD-40 for all those squeaky doors you haven't addressed.

If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Ray’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
