Meet little Miss Marigold ! She is a 3 year old 8 ½ pound Chihuahua. Marigold came to us from a breeder and is now ready to live the good life outside of the breeding world and no more puppies for her ever again.
Marigold is very sweet and friendly, but a little reserved and quiet. She just enjoys relaxing in her dog bed napping. She currently lives with other small dogs in her foster home and does well with them as well as the resident cat. She’s not super active and doesn’t really play with the other dogs and is happy just relaxing and taking it easy. Because of her small size and if she will be going to a home with another dog, would probably do best with another small dog. She has not been around kids, so we are not sure how she would do.
We are refining her potty-training skills. Coming from a breeder she needs a little work, but she’s getting there. She doesn’t signal when she needs to go outside. Her foster just takes her out every couple of hours and then rewards her with a small treat when she potties outside. She also has not been trained to walk on a leash so she would do best with a fenced yard, which is what we hope to find for her.
If you are looking for a sweet little companion dog that’s wants to just spend time sitting with you on the couch Marigold would be a perfect match.
She has been spayed, UTD on vaccines and HW negative.
If you are interested, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Marigold’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
