Adopt Lenah! A Sweet, Smart, and Energetic Puppy

Meet Lenah, an adorable 8-week-old Australian Cattle dog with a curious spirit and a heart full of love! This sweet puppy is looking for a family who is ready to embrace her high energy and brilliant mind.

About Lenah:

  • Breed: Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog (aka Blue Heeler) mix

  • Age: 8 weeks old (born 06/06/25)

  • Current weight: 9 pounds

  • Personality: Sweet, curious, and loves to be around her people. She's just beginning to learn how to play with toys and has a great time with her littermate.

What She Needs in a Home:

Lenah is a true cattle dog, which means she is incredibly smart, motivated, and needs a family that can keep her busy and entertained. Potential adopters should be prepared for an active lifestyle, as she'll need plenty of exercise to work off her puppy energy.

  • Mental Stimulation: Cattle dogs thrive on having a job to do. Consistent, positive training is a must to channel her intelligence. She has already started learning "sit," "no," and "come."

  • Early Training and Socialization: This is crucial for her development. Potential adopters should be prepared for continued training to help her become a well-mannered companion.

  • A Family That Understands the Breed: Her breed's tendency to nip and "herd" can be an issue in homes with small children. Adopters need to research the breed to understand these traits and the training requirements.

Puppy Progress:

  • Potty Training: She is doing very well with potty training and will need continued training in her new home.

  • Crate Training: She currently sleeps quietly all night in a puppy pen, and we are hopeful this will transfer easily to crate training.

Adoption Details:

Lenah will be available for adoption on August 10th. She will be spayed, microchipped, and will have received her 2nd round of puppy vaccinations. Her new family will be responsible for her 3rd and 4th sets of vaccines once she is adopted.

If you're an active family who is ready for the fun and rewarding challenge of raising a smart and energetic puppy, Lenah might be the perfect addition to your home!
