Meet Funshine Bear – The Snuggly Explorer with a Heart of Gold!

Looking for a pup who brings joy, curiosity, and cuddles in equal measure? Say hello to Funshine Bear, a 16-pound Lab mix born on April 19, 2025, and already living up to his name! With his sleek  black coat, friendly personality, and love for life, this little guy is ready to brighten every corner of your world.

Funshine Bear is the definition of puppy charm—smart, curious, loyal, and the kind of pup who can turn any moment into a good time. Whether he’s sniffing out a new trail or flopping into your lap for a nap, he’s happiest when he’s with his people. And have you seen him walk? This little guy struts just like a big bear, full of confidence and cuteness.

He’s still working on his house-training but he is doing very well. He will benefit from some basic obedience training, but he’s a quick learner who loves to please. With a little guidance and a lot of love, Funshine Bear will grow into the kind of dog that turns heads and wins hearts wherever he goes.

He has moderate exercise needs—a few fun play sessions and a walk or two a day will keep him happy. He’s friendly with new people, gets along great with other dogs, and is still learning about other animals.

If you are loo king for a companion who will snuggle on the couch, explore by your side, and make even rainy days feel sunny, Funshine Bear is your boy. He’s got all the makings of a lifelong best friend wrapped up in an adorable, tail-wagging package.

Our $275 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
