About Hennie | |
|
|
Meet Hennie an approximately 1 ½ - 2 year old 25 pound sweet mix of maybe Beagle and Jack Russell long legs and slim body, but honestly, we do not know her true heritage or breed.
Hennie has been the absolute best house guest in her current foster home. She came to us from a rural Missouri pound where she had given birth to 6 adorable puppies. She raised her puppies, and they have all been adopted so now is her time to enjoy life.
Hennie is very friendly to everyone she meets, and she’s been around older children. Hennie loves other dogs, and she does very well with the resident cat. She is in a foster home with all smaller dogs, but her previous foster home had large dogs, and Hennie gets along with all of them. She does ok on a leash but needs a bit more training.
Hennie would do best in a home with a fenced yard and another young playful dog. Her ideal playmate would be a dog her size or a bit larger that would match her energy play level. She would also do well as an only dog as long as she receives adequate exercise. She's actually a pretty calm dog but does like to play if she can engage another dog in chase around the yard.
She would do best with a fenced yard because she loves being outside soaking up the sun and enjoying the fresh air. At the end of the day, she loves curling up next to you on the sofa.
She’s housebroke and her foster does not crate her as she’s reliable to be left out while foster mom is gone.
You can’t go wrong with this girl, and she would make a great addition to any family, and she certainly deserves to find her forever home.
If you are interested, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Hennie’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
