Meet Darby! This handsome 3-year-old mix pup is 65 pounds of pure love and loyalty. Darby’s come a long way from a rough start — he survived a cold, lonely pound with only a straw-filled wooden box for shelter, but now he’s ready to live the cozy, loving life he deserves!
Darby is a proud graduate of the Puppies 4 Parole training program through the Missouri Department of Corrections, where he mastered his basic commands and polished up his social skills. He’s smart, eager to please, and very food motivated — perfect for continued training and fun tricks!
Darby loves to chew on bones, play with his favorite toys, and do his very best to convince his foster siblings to join in the fun. But his biggest joy? People! Darby is happiest glued to your side, soaking up belly rubs and cuddles, and generally being your loyal shadow.
He’s a medium-energy pup who enjoys a good daily walk, followed by hours of serious relaxation. Darby is housebroken, crate trained, great with other dogs, and ready to be someone’s best friend.

Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Darby’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
