Meet Boots (aka Luffy, Luffy Duffy).
Boots is a two year old Golden Doodle. He is house trained and will go in his crate (although doesn't like to be alone). He can be left outside of his crate but put away food and access to trash cans. He is the sweetest companion dog. Boots loves to be by your side. He will lay by your feet and patiently wait for you to give him a belly rub or go for a little walk. Boots will greet you with the happiest tail wagging when you come home. Maybe even a jump up hug if you allow it.
Boots enjoys being outside. He can sit outside with you and enjoy the lovely weather. When walking he loves to stop and smell the roses.
It is believed Boots was left outside alone and because of that he is a bit nervous to try new things and scared when hearing new sounds. He will do well with someone who is patient and will reassure him that everything is ok.
Boots had heartworm when brought in and has been undergoing treatment for a few months. He will complete his treatment in a few weeks and will be available for adoption then mid to late April. The treatment requires him to stay calm so he hasn't been around other pets. Prior to being in his foster home he was in a home with dogs and was fine.
If you are looking for a best bud who will always be by your side Boots is your dog. A house with someone at home during the day or a possibly a companion dog would be good for Boots since he gets anxious when alone.

Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Boots’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
