Chestnut is a 9 week old, absolute sweetie pie! She is one of the more independent puppies in her litter and is oftentimes content to entertain herself with toys, but loves to be held and snuggled. Puppies are notoriously squirmy but she oftentimes turns to absolute butter when held. 

She is quiet and relaxed in her crate and oftentimes goes back to it herself when she is tired and done with playtime. She has classic puppy breath and loves to give kisses and nibble on her foster dad's beard. She is brave and has had no issues interacting with the 2 adult dogs and cat in our home. 
 
Chestnut is expected to be 30-40 pounds when full grown. Her and her siblings were dumped in southern Missouri so we sadly do not have confirmed breed information, but suspect she is a poodle or schnauzer mix since some of her siblings are very scruffy. Chestnut has a smoother coat and is *so soft*. She is very precious and will make her new family very happy. 
 
Chestnut will be receiving her second round of vaccinations and getting spayed on Jan. 14, and will be available for adoption starting Thursday, Jan 16.  With puppies this young, applicants should be prepared for several weeks of potty training.

Our $275 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
