Meet MISTY, a 6-1/2 yr old, 15 lb, Beautiful Chocolate Brown Shih Tzu Mix.

• She is Very Sweet & Shy (see her video below). She is scared to be picked up, so you need patience and understanding, to catch her and have her sit in your lap.
• Misty has no problem coming UP STEPS, but she is very scared to go down steps . So the fewer / or no steps in home would work better.
• Misty is very good with other dogs her size in the home.
• Misty would prefer no children in home and needs quieter environment.
• Misty potties outside, however, sometimes inside she will potty on pads. Foster parents working with her to take her outside more often.
• Since she is food motivated, she spends time with her people in the kitchen (we are "trying" to keep her from becoming a little beggar!!!) and will take treats from your hand.

Misty's Perfect Family Home is quieter with fenced yard, her people are home a lot, and there is another dog her size in the home to teach her to be a dog.

Misty will Require at least one companion dog and a fenced yard.

Misty’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
