Alright, alright, alright. Who is looking for a sweet and snuggly best friend who also happens to be the most handsomest, light brindle, good boy ever?

Mr. Papano is all of those things and more! This little pocket pittie weighs in around 65 lbs but is no bigger than your average Aussie. He turned 3 years old in August and is in the prime of his doggy-hood. Though he has the strength of a full-back, all force is used towards snuggling as close to his humans as possible. This bub is as sweet as he is strong! He LOVES other pups, cats, and even kiddos. The only trouble is that he likes to run and jump with little ones. On the off chance that your little ones like to run and jump too, Papano may turn their innocent tag game into extreme bowling if you catch my drift.. It's definitely something he could work on with training, but likely, he would do best with kiddos 5+ if he were to have human siblings.

Like all pups, Papano has some quirks. When on a leash or restricted by a fence, he can be a bit defensive - no pun intended - but he is quick to calm down with a redirecting. Mostly, this behavior involves him barking and trying to act tough, but you’ve seen the pics of him snuggled up with a blankey… you’re not fooling us, Mr. Softy! Speaking of the pics, did you see the video of his beautiful hind leg kicks? Is he a pittie, or is he a dancer?? We say both.

The kicks aren’t his only tricks either! He knows sit, paw (shake), and stay. He’s also a bit of a klutz and can be extremely goofy which always keeps us giggling. He loves to be a goof running around in the yard but truly prefers to snuggle up and snooze. Having a fenced-in yard would be best for Papano-show viewing, but it is not a deal breaker if you don’t have one.

Since this little fella was in and out of the shelter for most of his early life, he has mild anxiety, and he is still working it out. We have been crating him when we leave, but he would likely do fine in a secure room/area where he could not get into anything that may sound/smell/taste/ or look like food. He’s definitely non-destructive, but if something crinkles, he will examine it to see if it’s edible. He’s also about 90% potty trained but has been known to mark if something unusual stresses him out. We’ve seen massive progress since he’s been in our home and think this is something he will grow out of with lots of love and security to keep him confident and comfortable.

Papano has been such a joy in our home and we cannot wait to see the joy he will bring to his furever family. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or interest!!
