Hi, I’m Rocket, a 5-year-old medium-sized (43 pounds) pinscher boy, ready to play and steal your heart. I mean look at those ears and eyes! Although I was the only dog in my former home, my foster family has a senior girl dog who is a bit smaller and more reserved. She and I figured out our territory pretty easily. I have been very respectful of her toys and bed. I grew up with pre-teen kids and loved having them around.
I haven’t had any accidents at home, only chew my toys and stay off the furniture. I came with a crate, but my foster parents don’t use it and they haven’t regretted that decision. My humans are teaching me to eat only my own food, along with lettuce, cucumber, carrots and whatever else is at the salad bar that night. They sometimes give me a little bit of boiled chimken (chicken) which is primo.
My foster parents say I’m very smart, pay attention and want to do the right thing. I know some commands like Sit, Stay and Home for my bed. When they leave, they just need to say “Home”, so I don’t try to escape. Did I mention I really don’t bark – not even at the mailman? I guess that’s why they call me “Good Boy Rocket”
I love car rides, walks, and finding new places to sniff and leave pee-mail for my fans. I have never had a fenced yard and am content with being on a stake in the shady cool grass with a big bowl of water for a short while. A fence would be ideal (not required) so I can explore and learn to fly a kite (when I get thumbs). I have to confess, if I get out of the house or yard without my leash, I will launch like a Rocket.
I’m the perfect low maintenance dog and will love you unconditionally.
