Meet Jovie! She's about 8 years old, she weighs 10 lbs, and she is a breeder release Bichon. 

Jovie is the sweetest little dog and loves to be petted and snuggle on the couch. She is learning how to be a family dog after a lifetime having puppies and she is still a little skittish. She comes out of her shell a little more every day and enjoys running around the yard, doing "zoomies," and barking at birds and squirrels. Now that she feels safe in her foster home, she is starting to show more of her sassy, spunky personality.

Jovie sleeps in bed with her foster mom and has not had any overnight accidents. When she needs to be left alone, she stays in a small, den-like kennel and seems to feel safe there. She is doing pretty well with her potty training, especially with regular trips outside. She will not go potty on a leash yet, so a secure fenced yard is required to adopt her. She has started to go on short walks around the neighborhood wearing her leash and harness, and while things are still scary for her, she is making good progress.
 
Jovie has had some digestive upsets, which have mostly resolved after switching to a special kibble for sensitive stomachs. She may not necessarily need prescription dog food, but she does probably need to be on sensitive stomach food and her adopter will need to be careful about the types of treats she eats. 
 
Jovie will thrive in a calm home where someone is home often. She would enjoy having another small dog as a companion and would probably be fine with cats and older children. If she sounds like your new best friend, apply to meet her today!

Jovie’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
