About Galena | |
|
|
Galena is a retired breeder dog who has spent her life producing many litters of puppies. We can now say, that life is over for Galena and she’s on her way to a life of luxury and no more puppies.
Galena is a sweet, quiet happy little girl and loves to be with her people. She’s great with the other small dogs she lives with in her foster home. Is also fine with the cats in her foster home. Galena enjoys the companionship of another dog since she has been around dogs her entire life. To deprive her of that companionship would be a disservice to her. She’s playful with her foster sister, so having another SMALL dog in the home is a must for Galena. She has not been around big dogs, so we think she would do best with another small dog her size.
Galena has not been around children but she would probably be ok with older kids who are respectful of her small size. Proper introductions would need to be done to see how she does. She will also require regular grooming to keep up with her long fluffy fur.
Galena does not walk on a leash so that is why we will require a secure fenced in yard for her. She loves being outside exploring in the yard. She also appears to be mostly potty trained when taken out on a regular schedule. She does not signal to go outside so she needs to be watched. She has used potty pads in the house if she doesn’t get taken out on a regular schedule.
If you are interested, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Galena’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
