***Fenced in Yard and Companion Dog REQUIRED ***

Maypop is a female retired  breeder dog around 7 years old. She is learning how to socialize with humans and other dogs but is still very timid. She spends most of the day in her crate with the door open or right outside the crate on a blanket. She likes to take her foster moms socks and stash them in her crate along with anything else that looks like a toy. 

She loves treats but is hesitant to take them from humans at first. She is potty trained and likes to run around the backyard doing her version of zoomies and sniff the air. She does not know how to walk on a leash yet and is still confused by them.  She would do best with a patient family who understands that it takes time for her to warm up and be affectionate. She likes pets but gets scared if someone tries to approach her too quickly. 

She loves to give kisses on your hand and has never shown aggression. She has started interacting with her forster home's two chihuahuas and they will all play for about two seconds. She would do best in a home with a confident dog to show her how to be a playful house dog.

Maypop’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
