FENCED YARD REQUIRED and COMPANION DOG REQUIRED 

Meet Brookfield a 6 year old 12 pound Shih Tzu retired breeder.

Brooke is a retired breeder dog who has left that life behind and is now living her best life as a family pet.  Brooke is a sweetheart and loves being around her people and also loves being around other dogs.  She is friendly and social, but because of her background she may take a little while to warm up to you.

We will require a secure physical fenced yard for Brooke because she is not leash trained. She loves being outside and exploring her big backyard in her foster home.  We are working on her potty training and she is doing very well. She’s taken out on a regular schedule every 2 to 3 hours and she always does her potty outside. She still has some accidents inside but you just need to watch her signals and take her out. She would do best with someone who is home often.

She loves playing with the other foster dogs so we will ONLY send her to a home with another confident playful dog similar to her size to help her along. She also loves, loves her stuffy toys, so those are also a requirement for her !! She lives with cats and is fine with them.

Brookfield’s adoption fee is $200.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
