Prima is a lab mix puppy and will be a large size (60-80 lbs) dog when fully grown.
Prima had a rough start as she, her brother & her mother lived outside in a makeshift pen with no shelter from the elements. She does have some apprehension around people but is starting to trust more and seek out attention. Because she is still scared,
she will require a fenced yard to keep her safe.
She loves the big dog in her foster home and it would be great if her forever home had another
dog to help with socialization and to teach her how to be a dog.
She is always happy to see her foster family and will accept pets & cuddles while in the puppy pen. However, her potential family will need to have patience with her as she is not as confident outside of the puppy pen. She is a beautiful girl and she really wants affection, but she will need some time to get used to new people.
She is just beginning to work on potty training and she will need continued training in her new home. She understands that ringing the bells on the back door gets the door to open so she can go outside but hasn't quite grasp that she needs to ring the bell first before she potties. She is treat motivated so she knows the commands "sit' and "come" and should do very well with learning additional commands.
She currently sleeps all night in a puppy pen without making any noise during the night so her foster mom is hopeful that will carry over to her kennel training.
Prima has already been spayed and is ready for her forever home.
