Alora is a super sweet 50ish pound hound mix that loves everyone. She has tall legs, soft fur, and her favorite thing to do is sniff outside and eat treats. Alora has the calmest demeanor and is incredibly gentle. She’s kid and dog friendly, but, true to her breed, shouldn’t be around small animals (small dogs would probably be ok, but not rabbits, chickens, or hamsters.)

Alora is still working on potty training and basic commands as she is pretty much a blank slate. We don’t think she’s ever lived in a home before, but she’s catching on at super speed. She sleeps the entire night through on her bed in our bedroom without making a peep. She has barked on occasion (like when our freezer makes ice and she thinks an intruder is in the house), but overall she’s very quiet.

She‘s timid at times when new people reach over her head, but has NEVER shown aggression. She is very submissive and allows you to take anything from her mouth. She walks decent on a leash and would love to take her sweet time smelling all the roses. She’s the kind of dog that makes you almost foster fail and want to keep her!

If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Alora’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
