Minka is friendly with other dogs and children. She needs some training and basic commands, but is fully house trained, good in the car, and bathtub.
Minka has taken to the youngest human member of her foster family and loves to lay down near him and keep him company. She also loves to play with her furry foster siblings and has a great time at the dog park and may prefer to be in a home with another dog to help her feel more comfortable when her humans leave.
Minka can clear a 4ft chain link fence without a second glance, so she would be fine with an active family or she will need at least a 6ft fence if she's going to be allowed in the yard without a tether.
Minka does not enjoy being alone, she'll cry in her crate and would be happy to have an adopter that can help her work through the anxiety and that does not share walls with their neighbors.
No dog is perfect but Minka is pretty darn close, she'll integrate into your family and you'll enjoy watching her become a playful, happy, and loving member of your family.

Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Minka’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
