Alfred or “Alfie” was dropped off at CARE STL with his mom and dad because his owner did not want him anymore, but we can’t imagine why because he is a big love bug! He is good with other dogs and is still learning his manners, but he takes correction well. He can be a little timid, but seems comfortable with both men and women, and is good with considerate kids. Does okay in the crate, still working on potty training. LOVES toys of any kind but is a little rough on them. Alfie has a lot of energy and would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard or with someone who can take him on multiple walks per day. He is brand new to walks but definitely enjoys them! Alfie is about 50 lbs now, but we imagine he will get a little bit bigger before he is done growing. He has not met any cats yet.

Alfred’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
