Meet  Marvin Gaye ! He is an 8-year-old poodle mix (maybe mixed with schnauzer) and weighs 19 lbs. Marvin was an unclaimed stray dog at a rural shelter, and his coat was so matted that it had to be shaved (check out his before and after photo!). When it grows back, it will be a beautiful chocolate brown color.

 
Marvin is a sweet talker, snuggly boy who just wants to be cuddled and loved. He enjoys hanging out on the couch, giving kisses, listening to Motown and sleeping in bed with his humans along with a selection of comfy dog beds. He is a little shy at first, but quickly warms up and becomes a lovebug. He gets along with other dogs and would probably be fine with cats. He's very gentle and would be good with kids as long as they don't play too rough with him. 
 
Marvin is housetrained and walks nicely on a leash. He does not need to be crated when left alone. He will bark for a little while after his foster mom leaves for work, but eventually settles on the couch.

Marvin’s adoption fee is $125.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
