** REQUIRES FENCED YARD ** DOGS HER SIZE IN HOME or BE THE ONLY DOG ** NEEDS TO BE FED SEPARATELY, FOOD AGGRESSIVE ** ONLY CHILDREN OVER 10 YRS OLD **
Donkey is a very sweet pug. She is believed to be about 8 years old, this is our best guess. She came from a horrible situation, so she could be a lot younger.
She was rescued with many other pugs and mixes from a place where they lived outside alone and
were forced to breed
.
She did this her whole life
. Regardless,
she is a very sweet affectionate girl.
She is
mostly housetrained
and does not need to be crated when left alone.
She does
best with dogs her own size
who respect her space, and respect her corrections.
She will need to
be fed separately, she is food aggressive with dogs,
not people.
A home where she is the only dog would be ideal.
She will need a
fenced in yard
, she
does not walk on a leash
.
She LOVES people and teenagers
. Small children and men make her nervous. She warms up to men slowly..
She would love a family with older kids to follow around.
She will not be adopted to a home with no fence, bigger dogs or families with children under 10, no exceptions.
Donkey is a VERY SPECIAL DOG who deserves a VERY SPECIAL FAMILY!

If you are interested, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
Donkey's adoption fee is $125.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
