Hi I’m Lyra.  I’m a spunky 40 lb girl.  I’ve got loads of energy and love being outside so I can playfully chase birds, squirrels and even flying insects.  My foster mom says I’m part bunny because I hop around a lot when I’m happy, which is All. The. Time.  I just love life!  I can be shy at first, but if you are my people I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE seeing you and get super excited.  I guarantee it will be hard to find someone more excited to see you than me.  I’m excited when you come home from work, I’m excited when you get up in the morning, I’m excited when you ask me if I want to go outside, I’m excited when you get up from the couch!  I love playing ball, although I don’t always give the ball back, I love playing with toys.  I’ve got basic commands down (sit, laydown, stay, shake), I’m house broke, and can be left in a house uncrated.  I’m good with other dogs, but not good with very young children because they scare me, only older children please.  I wouldn’t be good in an apartment because I can sometimes bark and howl when you first leave me home alone.

Lyra’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
