Francine is a sweet, shy, low energy gal low-rider that's looking for a calm household to call her own. She's potty trained and gets along with other dogs, although she can be nervous at first. She has a fair amount of prey drive so may not be best suited for a house with cats or other small pets. Her favorite thing to do is go on walks! She gets so excited when you ask her if she wants to go on a walk that she jumps around until you get out the door! She's very easy to walk and doesn't pull at all. She ignores other dogs we pass on walks but does get excited when we see squirrels and bunnies. Other than that, she's usually snoozing away or snuggling with her favorite foster sibling. She also REALLY likes treats! Food is definitely the way to her heart. She will take a while to warm up to you, but once she does you've made a loving snuggle buddy for life. She plops down right in front of you to ask for belly rubs and also leans against your legs and looks up at you for neck scratches. The perfect home for her would be willing to take it slow to let her come out of her shell. She is friendly, just shy when meeting new people. A confident dog in the home will help her feel safe and learn to trust humans faster. She looks like a lab, but is built like a basset hound- long and low to the ground. She weighs about 45lbs.

Francine’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
