***SPECIAL NEEDS: Secure fenced in yard, loving companion dog or dogs in home to mentor and support Bootsie, patient and calm household. NO children***

Boostie has a tragic past, he was in a breeder mill and was trying to be used as a stud, but Bootsie is a cuddler not a Casanova.  He was abused for his non performance and starved and then finally released from his nightmare.

Boostie does not trust people, mainly women and does not like being lock in his crate, but likes his crate as long as door it left open.

He is 95% housebroken but still using his grass tray / pee pad in the house as he is too scared to let you know he has to potty, so regular outings and his tray keeps him on track.

He needs a companion dog or two to cuddle with and to show him the ropes of being a good pet, plus Bootsie loves to nibbles ears and play.

With lots of time and patients Boostie will let you hold him but you must approach him from underneath never going over his head. He seems to be a little mentally challenged, so it takes him a little longer to pick up on things.   He makes the cutest cooing sounds and gives kisses once he trusts you. He prefers men to women.

Bootsie is 6lbs, 1-2 years Shihtzu.

It will take months to gain his trust, so the ideal home will have someone with the time and patience to work with him and a calm, quiet house. NO CHILDREN as he is scared of strangers and fast moving humans.

I f you feel you are up to the challenge of loving this little guy unconditionally and will be patient with him coming to you and being held, then fill out an application.
