Meet "BORDEAUX", a 4 yr old, 9 lb, Female, Maltese.
Her history entails years in a breeding situation, which makes her shy, timid towards people. Due to her having a horrible beginning, no one treated her ear infection, and it was one of the worse seen by vets. She is currently being treated every 10 days with ear ointment (next appt is May 23).
She is about 90% house trained however, she doesn't know how to tell you she wants out and will sometimes use a potty pad on the floor. Foster Parents just let her out often.
She IS NOT leash trained but has been exposed to walking on leash but will need continued training. A fenced in yard is best for her.
She LOVES to bounce and play bow with dogs her own size, so she REQUIRES another playful dog in home.
It would be good if minimal to no STEPS at home, she practices steps but not very well at all, scared of steps. We train all dogs for RECALL before adopting which means they come inside on their own when called, however, she's close to coming in on her own UNLESS you have steps inside door, she will not come in, they scare her.
NO LITTLE KIDS since she is use to more quiet house and surroundings and is a FLIGHT RISK.
AND SHE IS CURRENTLY A FOSTER DADDY'S GIRL!! LOVES HER FOSTER DADDY! LOVES TO SIT IN YOUR CHAIR WITH YOU!
She does hold her head tilted due to the ear infection and ointment inside. After adoption, if she needs any further ear treatment, we will keep in touch and use our vet to finish the ear care.
BORDEAUX's perfect family, will have another playful dog her size, no young kids, quiet house, minimal to no steps, securely fenced yard and family members that will help continue to train her to be a normal dog. She so badly wants to be like all the other dogs but needs to be shown how! if you have breeder dog experience, that's a plus!

Bordeaux’s adoption fee is $195.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
