Essence is a sweet and loving 25lb golden retriever/beagle mix puppy. She did not have the best start to her life, and tends to be nervous of new situations. She has made great progress in her foster home- when we first got her, she would pee any time someone got close to her, but now she will walk up to anybody and want attention. She loves to play with other dogs and then cuddle up and take a nap afterwards. Essence has learned to sit, lay down, shake, and is working on spin. She is working on leash training and conquering the big scary world, so she will need to a fenced in back yard. Essence will need a patient and loving family with another dog in the home to help build her confidence.

Must have: a secure fenced in yard (flight risk if scared), another confident dog in the home who likes to play.

Cats: no. She does have a strong prey drive, and can play rough.

Kids: 13 years and older (she can jump when excited. A quieter household would be best).

Essence's adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
