Boone is a beautiful 7-month old golden retriever/beagle mx. He loves his dog friends and likes his cat friends, too. Boone was probably never allowed inside until now, so he's still learning about the comforts of home. He LOVES to romp and play in the backyard, so would do best with a fenced-in yard. He does well in the crate, has learned how to sit for treats, and has made progress with the leash. He is very food motivated, so will learn even more new skills with practice and consistency. Boone can be apprehensive in new situations, but he adapts pretty quickly. Loud noises make him nervous until he gets used to them. He would do best in a home with a friendly, confident dog friend to show him the dog ropes. Boone needs a forever family who will be patient with him while he learns what this indoor dog business is all about.

If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.  Boone’s adoption fee is $250.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
